The Encyclopedia of Language and Linguistics meets the need for a truly international work of reference and reviews current knowledge in the fields of linguistics and language studies. In planning the presentation of the Encyclopedia the Editorial Board and the Publisher have considered the wide range of potential users, including not only specialist research workers but also those individuals and institutions in need of information in this diverse field.
